Rural & Remote Mental Health Conference 2008
4-7 November 2008, Geraldton WA
WA Country Health Service (Department of Health) has conducted an annual Rural and Remote Mental Health Conference in each region of Western Australia for approximately 15 years. It is the one annual conference that is specifically related to mental health service delivery in our rural and remote regions. The purpose of the conference is to demonstrate examples of initiatives that utilise collaboration, best practice and innovative solutions to addressing the challenges of providing rural and remote mental health care.
This year the Rural and Remote Mental Health Conference will be held in Geraldton at the Queens Pa rk Theatre in November. The dates are 4 th (Evening Opening Ceremony), 5 th , 6 th & 7 th November 2008.
The theme of the conference will be ‘Where to from Here'. The theme will be to look at current and future initiatives in the mental health arena that will assist in determining service models, planning and direction for the future.
